Yes. These are called non-qualifying products and they do not earn commission, accrue loyalty points, or count towards your 365-day cumulative sales volume.
Why are there products that don’t earn commission?
We do not offer commission on non-qualifying products so that we can offer you the best possible price for these important business tools.
What are the non-qualifying products?
Non-qualifying products are sales aids, including catalogues, other promotional flyers, bags, signs, order forms, etc., and gift cards.
How are my commissions calculated?
Commissions are paid on the retail value of products purchased. You earn commission on the net value in the shopping cart, excluding any non-qualifying products, after any special offer codes have been applied and before shipping and VAT.
How do I receive my commission?
Commission payments are made upon request, by clicking on the ‘Get Paid’ link on your ‘My Barefoot’ home page. Once you have earned at least £20 in commission, you may request your earnings to be transferred into your bank account. Commission payments are processed weekly; and your requested funds will be credited to your account shortly thereafter (typically within 2-3 days depending on your bank). The minimum amount for an electronic bank transfer is £20. If we do not have your bank details on file, you will receive an email notification letting you know you have earned a commission. Please note that international (non UK) bank transfers will be paid net of any relevant bank charges.
Can I apply special offer codes to all orders?
Special offer discount codes can be applied to qualifying purchases only; special offer discounts cannot be applied to either non-qualifying products or stock orders.
Please note you can only use one special offer code per order.
What are points and how do they work?
Points are the loyalty rewards programme for Ambassadors. For every £1 spent, Ambassadors receive 100 points.
Example:
When you spend £100 on Barefoot Books products, you accrue 10,000 points.
10,000 points are worth £10 of Barefoot Books products on your next order.
What do I earn points on?
You earn points on the net value in the shopping cart, excluding any non-qualifying products, after any special offer codes have been applied and before shipping and VAT.
How do I spend my points?
Once you have accrued points, they will display as a payment option at check out.
Points can be used to buy Barefoot Books products and are available for redemption on your next purchase. You can use points as payment for stock orders, but you will not accrue points for stock orders placed.
How does a stock order work?
If you opt to place a stock order you will receive a 50% discount at the point of purchase along with free shipping. Any order totalling £375 or more in qualifying product at retail value can qualify for stock order terms as long as you select this option during the purchase process. Because of the significant discount offered, points do not accrue on stock orders.

Does Barefoot Books cover me for Public Liability Insurance?
No, Barefoot Books does not provide cover. As a self-employed person, you are running your own business and benefits such as the provision of insurance could prejudice your bona fide status as a self-employed person with HM Revenue & Customs.
Do I need Liability Insurance?
It is a good idea to get Public Liability Insurance because if an accident happened, a claimant could sue you. Moreover, as a self-employed person, you could potentially lose everything (including your home) if you cause an accident such as a serious injury as a result of your negligence. Insurance is low cost and can cover you at various events such as fairs, fetes, and parties. You can research different insurance providers, for example www.1st.com/barefootbooks, to find a quote and policy that suits you!
